Midwest Floor Coverings, Inc. was founded in April 1938 with three partners – Morris Parrish, Lance Graham and Ben Novikoff. Their business began as a distributor of a few rolls of carpet operating out of a small vacant building at 180 West 200 South in Salt Lake City.
In 1956, Morris Parrish bought out the two other partners, Graham and Novikoff, and eventually moved the operation to Wagner Park with a 35,000 square foot warehouse and office facilities in 1963. Morris’s son, John, began working at Midwest in 1969 as a salesman. In 1980, John Parrish took over as president of the company. Under his leadership the company has experienced a steady growth and expansion.
